Once you have completed your booking, the details of the booking are send electronically to you and to our office, assuring the appropriate arrangements as per your transfer-booking.
The voucher sent to you is your confirmation of the booking. This voucher must be presented to the driver/representative.
All information, number of passengers, hotel name, flight number and arrival time are detailed in this voucher. It is your responsibility to notify us as soon as you have the information should there be any changes in your travel plans that would modify the transfer arrangements as they are written in the voucher.
The times to be stated on your booking and your voucher are flight times! We will calculate and provide you with the departure pick-up time upon arrival; usually 2,5 hours before an international flight and 2 hours prior to the domestic flights. Changes can still be made upon arrival, if you have booked a private- or limousine-transfer.
Our driver will be waiting for you at the arrival lounge with a sign with your name.
The voucher also states our mobile phone contact in case of delays or if you do not find our representative at the airport right away. In any case, we expect you to contact our mobile phone number and to inform us, before you leave the airport on your own means!
Travelling with hand luggage only:
We calculate 15 minutes for you to leave the plane, pass customs and arrive to the arrival hall, if you have only hand luggage, please consider these 15 minutes and wait for your driver in the arrival hall.
Our cancellation policies are just a guideline since we review each case on its merits.
Changes in your booking within 24 hours are free of charge.
Delays or cancellation of your flight:
We should be notified of any airplane delays, cancelled flights or any unforeseen circumstances that might cause a delay in your scheduled arrival time, as soon as you have the information by calling (not e-mailing!) our representative to the telephone number written in your voucher.
Please, note, that our driver might already be waiting for you at the airport for the originally booked flight and we might have to charge this expense, if you do not notify us prior to the arrival-time stated on your voucher.
Should you fail to inform the representative this will be considered by us as a no show on your part.
For the departures from your holiday accommodation you will receive the pick-up time upon arrival. Should the driver not be there in time, please call immediately our mobile phone stated on the voucher.
We might be late due to traffic conditions and like this we can give you a direct feedback as we might not be able to reach you through the hotel reception or when you are at a private accommodation.
To cancel your reservation we must receive this information in writing either by e-mail or by fax at least 48 hours before your pick up time as is written in your voucher. If your cancellation is done within the 48 hours of the pick-up time or there is a no show we will charge you the amount of the transfer.
We operate a complete non-smoking policy in all vehicles used.
Infants and child seats:
Every infant counts as a person and a child seat has to be used until the size of 1,50m. We strongly recommend parents to take their own child seats to ensure adequate safety in the vehicles taken throughout the holidays.
We can provide a child seat upon prior demand with an extra charge of EUR 05,- for the handling. In this case we need to be informed of the age of the infant or baby to provide 1 of the 3 available sizes.
Private Transfer or Limousine Service:
You will be met by your own personal driver on arrival and escorted to your vehicle for a comfortable and efficient transfer.
Private transfers also operate to Timeshare apartments or private homes.
Our Private Transfer is carried out in Limousine E-Class, our in our minibus exclusively for your party.
You can book Limousine Transfers in our S-Class or serial 7 BMW, in case these cars are not available at the demanded time, we will provide and charge a private transfer service instead.
(available from and to Funchal only, EUR 7,50 per person and per way, minimum 6 passengers)
Our shuttles are usually a minibus type vehicle 7- or 9-seater.
The waiting time in a shuttle transfer can be up to 45 minutes – the time it takes for the last passenger of your flight to appear with the luggage. If you do not want to wait, we suggest to book a private transfer instead.
If we have only can gather 1 to 4 passengers for the transportation within the 45 minutes waiting time, the transfer will be charged to you at EUR 23,- per way to Funchal and you will be transported in a vehicle just for your party.
Whilst we endeavor to operate a door-to-door service with our transfers, on some occasions this may not be possible due to the vehicle’s size, when a shuttle transfer has been booked. However we will always ensure you are taken to the nearest drop off point.
Shuttle transfers also operate to Timeshare apartments or private homes.
Madeira-in.com travel agency holds full public liability insurance as do all suppliers.
We assume your luggage to consist of one hand luggage and one suitcase per person.
Therefore we expect you to mention golf sets, bicycles and wheelchairs in your booking, so we can send you the appropriate vehicle for the service.
We do not charge extra for these items, however you might have to reserve a private transfer or minibus for this service.
