East Tour Madeira
From the top down to Machico's sandy beaches…
The East Tour takes around 160km. –
Visiting Camacha, the wicker centre, up to Pico do Areeiro (3. highest mountain), to Ribeiro Frio, the trout lakes, and a short walk to Balcões = balcony. From the balcony you'll see the tops of the mountains and the valleys – just a stunnig view!
Then we move on to Santana, where we can visit the famous reed roof houses, over to Faial, Porto da Cruz, and Machico and back to Funchal.
The agriculture in the East offers you wicker, vegetables, apples, cherries, sugar caine and you can also encounter pineapples…
A day full of impressions and stunning landscapes.

The drive itself is an adventure.
